Sexual Intercourse
Sexual Intercourse is the insertion of a mans penis in to the woman's vagina. During this act the ma ejaculates and between 1 and 5 million sperm is released into the woman. The sperm then swims up through the woman's cervix (the entrance to the uterus), up the uterus and then if there is an egg in the uterus or in the Fallopian tubs the sperm surround it and try to fertilize it. Only one sperm manages to do so however because on entry of the sperm the egg puts up a chemical barrier that stops other sperm getting in.
